What are the responsibilities and job description for the TECHNOLOGY TEACHER position at LeRoy Central School District?
The Le Roy Central School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE Technology Teacher (Grades 7-12) for a probationary appointment beginning in September 2025. The position will be for Technology, STEM, and Agricultural studies among many other opportunities in extracurriculars. This teaching position would also include leading the agricultural program offered through the Le Roy Central School District.
The Jr./Sr. High School has 550 students in grades 7-12, 70 staff members, and has a proud tradition of academic excellence and maintains high behavioral standards. We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons. Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Have a valid NYS Certification in Technology
- Prepare and teach STEM and Agricultural courses in accordance with NYS curriculum and standards
- Prepare and instruct literacy rich technology courses
- Prepare and instruct academic support for technology students
- Stay current in research-based instructional practices and pedagogy, NYS standards, assessment, curriculum, and Response to Intervention practices
- Maintain and enhance collaboration with team members and department members
- Utilize technology to maximize instruction and learning
- Promote social emotional learning and restorative practices
- Demonstrate a desire to advise extracurricular activities and/or serve as a coach for an athletic team
