Job Type: Part-Time. Seasonal Summer
Pay: $15.00-$18.00 DOE

Les Bois Swim Academy's All-Star swim team specializes in coaching children in a professional & competitive environment. Combined with our 81-degree water full-sized pools, & great coaches, children are provided with the optimal learning environment. We are dedicated to developing our children/swimmers into confident, life-long athletes. We hope to have you as a part of our team to help instil the love of swimming!
Experience/Training:
- Previous swim team background required
- Previous swim team coaching background required
- This position will primarily be working with more advanced swimmers (ages 6-16 yrs old). You would be responsible for teaching: endurance, stroke development, sportsmanship, stroke techniques, teamwork, & race etiquette .
Position Requirements & Responsibilities:
- 21 yrs old.
- Current lifeguard certification
- Current 1st Aid, CPR, & AED certifications
- Reliable transportation & ability to travel up to 2 hrs away as needed
- Adapt coaching approach to athlete's ability level
- Communicate effectively & appropriately with participants & parents about athlete's progress.
- Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Display a positive attitude & work harmoniously with co-workers, the general public, and other organizations.
- Communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance.
- Complete assignments in a timely fashion
- Understand and comply with all rules, policies, and regulations.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
- Perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor, and/or manager with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Respond calmly & quickly to emergency situations.
- Responsible for creating/implementing swim workouts for the team.
- Educating/supervising assistant swim coaches.
- Create swim meet entries for all swim meets
- Attends all practices & swim meets including the championship meet at the end of the season.
- Ability to work in both indoor & outdoor settings in a variety of temperatures & climates.
