JOB SUMMARY :
The operator ensure the smooth running of operations at all stations of his machine (Speedpro). He is able to read and understand documents related to production. He enter production data into the computer system, print labels and coordinate activities in his workspace.
DAILY TASK :
- Read and fully understand work orders.
- Ensure the necessary rolls are loaded in the unwinder.
- Thread cardboard through the unwinder, combs, and up to the end of the glue applicator section.
- Monitor equipment operations and adjust as needed.
- Enter data into the computer system and track progress to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Verify the first produced pieces, if required.
- Select the appropriate cutting cores based on work orders.
- Program dimensions to adjust cutting knives.
- Validate tube measurements and ensure proper tube adhesion.
- Fill bins according to work orders and empty scrap bins when full.
QUALITY :
- Inspect raw material quality.
- Minimize waste.
- Perform required quality plan inspections.
- Ensure compliance with order and customer specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
HEALTH & SAFETY :
- Know and apply workplace health and safety procedures for all machines and the plant.
- Work safely and adhere to required standards.
- Use appropriate personal and team safety equipment.
- Immediately report all workplace incidents or accidents, no matter how minor, to a supervisor.
REQUIREMENT :
- Relevant experience in a manufacturing plant;
- Forklift certification (an asset).
- First aid training (an asset).
- At least one year of forklift operation experience.
- Recognized for precision, autonomy, and efficiency.
- Comfortable working with computer screens.
- Punctual, flexible, versatile, and methodical.
- Fast learner with excellent physical stamina.
