What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Teacher/ Student Teacher- Early Childhood Education position at Les Enfants Montessori School?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Group Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality education and care to children aged 2-4 years in a nurturing and engaging environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in children
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Conduct observations and assessments to track children's progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to achieve program goals
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with parents regularly
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, and accreditation standards
Requirements:
- Early Childhood Education certification or degree (Associate's, Bachelor's)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with young children
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse families and staff
Position is Monday thru Friday 9am-5pm.
Applicant must be currently enrolled in school pursuing a degree in early childhood education and hold a minimum of an AA or 90 credits.
