Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Lead a toddler classroom, ages 12 months to 24 years, and design engaging lesson plans that promote learning and exploration
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide individualized attention to students, catering to their unique needs and developmental stages.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, documenting milestones and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience across the curriculum.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Requirements
- Associates degree/Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience working with children in a preschool or similar setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care and special education strategies.
- First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create a dynamic classroom environment that fosters learning through play.
- Experience in infant care or nannying is a plus but not required.
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
