What you bring to the table
Are you a finance pro ready to drive efficiency and strategic impact? As our Accounting Associate – Accounts Payable, you'll be the driving force behind optimizing the full lifecycle of our company's financial obligations and vendor relationships.
Overseeing all accounts payable functions, you'll ensure invoices are reviewed, coded, and paid on time in accordance with policies. Leveraging your keen eye for detail and process improvement, you'll identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance controls, and elevate the overall health of our financial operations. But your role won't stop there - you'll also tackle special projects that support the broader business activities of Bio Springer North America. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally and provide insightful recommendations will be instrumental in empowering our teams to focus on strategic priorities!
What you’ll do as an Accounting Associate – Accounts Payable
- Completes accounts payable duties including invoice entry, payment proposals, records and vendor communication
- Sets up new vendors including master data maintenance, credit applications, and documentation compliance (vendor applications, W-9, W-8, exemption certificates, etc.)
- Carries out special projects with high focus on optimization of processes related to SAP Procure to Pay (PTP)
- Participates in monthly, quarterly and year end closings including processing of journal entries
- Reconciles general ledger accounts
- Prepares year end audit schedules
- Meets deliverables on a timely basis; prioritizes overall workload
- Documents and maps other departments policies, procedures and systems
- Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent years of experience
- One or more years of related experience
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and other suite products
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the food, industrial, pharmaceuticals and/or biotechnology industry preferred
- ERP system, especially SAP experience is strongly preferred
- Bilingual in French or Spanish is a plus
