What you’ll do as a Foundations Engineer
- Understand and effectively utilize all employee safety programs to ensure proper procedures are followed, acting immediately on any unsafe conditions or behavior
- Gain in-depth knowledge of yeast manufacturing processes through internal/external training and improvement/optimization studies
- Acquire familiarity with the plant's fermentation equipment, process control systems, and utility infrastructure
- Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects and process optimization initiatives
- Monitor operations, anticipate issues, and accurately communicate relevant information to management in a timely manner
- Analyze, process, and act upon operational data in accordance with procedural standards
- Take on other duties as assigned
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required.
- Ability to live in Cedar Rapids, Milwaukee, and/or Dothan for each 18-month rotation.
