Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, specializing in the restoration and creation of canvas specialties and automotive interiors. This role requires proficiency in various techniques and tools to ensure high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Utilize sewing machines to sew upholstery materials, ensuring precision and quality in stitching.
• Assemble and fabricate components of marine and automotive interiors using hand tools and power tools.
• Restore auto interiors by replacing or repairing upholstery, padding, and other materials as needed.
• Select appropriate fabrics and materials based on project specifications and customer preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations.

Experience

• Proven experience in upholstery work, particularly in auto restoration upholstery is a huge advantage but not preferred.
• Familiarity with hand tools, and power tools essential for upholstery tasks.
• Ability to sew, assemble, and fabricate various upholstery projects with attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise during the upholstery process.
• A creative mindset with an appreciation for design aesthetics is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
