We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Systems Analyst to support the design, implementation, and optimization of Oracle Xstore Point of Sale (POS) systems. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that Xstore solutions meet business needs and align with organizational goals. This role requires a deep understanding of POS systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze and translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, processes, and challenges related to retail and POS operations.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for Oracle Xstore POS solutions.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify areas where current systems do not meet business needs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to design and propose solutions that align with business goals.
- Create detailed documentation, including process flows, use cases, and system diagrams.
- Define and document system configurations, workflows, and integration points.
- Support the implementation of Xstore POS systems, ensuring alignment with requirements.
- Assist in developing and executing test plans, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate functionality and performance.
- Identify and resolve issues during testing and deployment phases.
- Act as a liaison between business teams, technical teams, and vendors to facilitate communication and project progress.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
- Monitor the performance of Xstore POS systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and functionality.
- Provide ongoing support and training to end users and business teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in a timely manner.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using Xstore capabilities.
- Stay updated on Oracle Xstore features and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on retail systems or POS platforms.
- Hands-on experience working with Oracle Xstore POS. Strong understanding of Oracle Xstore POS functionality, configuration, and integrations.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with system integration methods (APIs, ETL, etc.) and middleware platforms.
- Familiarity with retail operations, including sales, inventory, and customer service workflows.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with Oracle Retail Suite or other retail systems.
- Experience with Mobile POS / Xstore Lite is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
