A Production & Inventory Planner acts as the customer's representative to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on optimizing the customer experience, with high attention to detail on planning
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : THIS ROLE IS 100% ON SITE, NOT REMOTE.
Production Planning :
- Act as the customer's representative to ensure that their demands are met
with a focus on optimizing the customer experience.
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account-related matters.Communicate with clients to ensure that all their needs are understood and addressed in a timely fashion.Plan production based on customer forecasts.Track production vs. customer demand.Manage customer inventory vs. production demandsMaintain customer production forecast and update regularlyServe as the liaison between Production Planning and Manufacturing departmentsWork with Quality Assurance to optimize production quality and address any related issuesCollaborate with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill customer requests in a timely mannerCollect and analyze data related to customer productionCollaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within customer accountsGenerate progress reports to give to clients and management within the organizationIdentify new business opportunities with existing customers and communicate these to the sales team.Inventory Control :
Communicate information on receipt and disbursement of materials,finished goods and components.
Place necessary orders for components that have been identified asdepleted items or items that have reached reorder points.
Report discrepancies between physical counts and the inventory recordsand report reasons for discrepancies.
Analyze inventory discrepancies and findings and report to supervisor.Participate in planning and completion of physical inventories as necessaryGenerate reports and data analysis for upper managementProcess Management, Standardization, and support of the QualityManagement System :
Plan, develop, implement, and report on clear and standardized processes and procedures for all aspects of product and process including but not limited to standard operating procedures and functional process control.Serve as the lead to document customer complaints and NCAP's.Provide feedback to customers on actions taken to resolve quality nonconformances.Periodically solicit feedback on Stellar performanceRequires close collaboration with management, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and quality assurance.Internal Coordination :
Collaborates with other departments to identify critical success factors, develop measurement systems, and implement continuous processimprovement methodologies.
Assist with the creation of departmental standard operating proceduresPerform other related duties as assigned by management.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
B.S. in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, or related field preferredMinimum 2 years of experience in Production Planning and Inventory ControlQUALIFICATIONS :
Excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent proficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience implementing systems and processes within an organizationDirect experience dealing with customers and customer issuesFamiliarity with SAP and similar systems a plusVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing prioritieswith enthusiasm
