Position: Chef Manager

Location: Goodwin College - East Hartford, CT

Job Description:

• Cooking
• Providing food services by maintaining cafe operations, as well as providing food services for special meetings and events
• Meeting cafeteria operational standards by implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
• Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
• Maintaining food services equipment by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Planing menus and oversees food preparation and service.
• Responsible for selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Providing a pleasant dining experience, maintaining customer and client rapport.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2-3 years of food service experience.
• Must have management experience in a business and industry account or a college account
