Job Description

Lessons In Your Home is looking for music teachers to teach Piano, Violin, Guitar, Voice, and/or Drum lessons. We have openings for teachers who teach all Brass, Woodwind, and String instruments if you also teach one of the first 5 instruments mentioned above. Multi-Instrumental teachers are highly encouraged to apply, especially if piano is one of the instruments you teach. We are especially interested in career educators who would like to teach 20 or more students each week and are seeking long-term positions.

Teachers applying should be:

• Excited to work with beginner-level students ages 5-12.
• Accustomed to using methods and strategies designed to work with students for 5 years of study.
• Able to develop a 3 Song Repertoire - starting with early-beginner songs - that changes and grows with a student as they develop.
• Able to prepare students for, and perform in, two (2) recitals per year.
• Able to drive to students' homes consistently and confidently once per week at the same day and time.
• Available to teach 10 students each week at a minimum, on 3 or more days of teaching each week.
• Able to check and reply to emails, texts, and phone calls every day.
• Interested in becoming a better teacher by attending enrichment workshops hosted by our school.
• Permanent Residents of the US.

Our student musicians play piano, guitar, violin, drums, brass, strings, woodwinds, and percussion. They compose, perform and learn that music is more than notes and rhythms, it’s expression!
