DoubleTree Rapid City (formerly Holiday Inn) is seeking a late afternoon and evening Dishwasher to join our Food & Beverage team. Dishware, cookware, and other items need to be cleaned and restocked efficiently to meet our guests' expectations. This position has potential to be fulltime based on availability and shifts expected to be approximately 8 hours

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate the dishwashing machines to properly clean all dishes, glassware, flatware, and other cooking utensils used by the kitchen, restaurant, or banquet departmentsObserve dishwasher output and adjust detergent levels or inform management to keep machine operating at highest efficiencyRe-stock all supplies in the proper storage areasPerform general kitchen cleaning duties - including the cleaning and mopping of kitchen floors, walk-in refrigerators and freezersPerform quality assurance role by monitoring dishware for cracks, imperfections, and remaining debrisUnload food trucks upon arrival and put away food stock and dry goods in the proper locationStrive toward minimal loss prevention and / or breakage in kitchen operationsManage trash, bottle, and recycling removalDemonstrate excellent customer service when interacting with hotel guestsMaintain excellent working relationships with other staff members to ensure productivity between departmentsKeep immediate supervisor fully informed of all challenges or matters requiring their attentionAdhere to all company policies / procedures and any applicable state / federal lawsMaintain all safety / sanitation standards, including compliance with all regulations issued by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA and the State Health Department, etc.Other duties as assignedSKILLS & ABILITIES

Previous Kitchen experience is ideal. However, thorough training will be provided for outstanding candidates who lack previous dishwashing experience.Ability to accomplish tasks without close supervisionCommunication skills in working with guests, managers, and other personnelAbility to work a flexible schedulePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires physical stamina. To fully perform his / her duties, the Dishwasher will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, push, and pull. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move continuously during work hours. Sufficient manual dexterity to move dish racks, load / unload dishwasher, and oversee movement of food stock is necessary. Must be able to lift and / or carry 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.
