Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and accurately to our guests, enhancing their dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food service operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and meet quality standards before serving.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all food is presented beautifully.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order status and any special requests from guests.
- Support servers by helping with food preparation tasks as needed during busy periods.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety practices.
- A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
