Landscape Maintenance Foreman

Let It Grow Inc. is an NJ based Landscape and Site Construction Company with over 120 employees across NJ and NY. We are looking to expand our service team with an experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreman. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of landscape and grounds maintenance experience, be available to work in NJ & the 5 boroughs of NYC and will have strong team leadership skills.  

Key Responsibilities:

•        Supervise and lead a crew in performing landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, fertilizing, and mulching.

•        Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.

•        Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, within the allotted time frame and to company or client standards.

•        Train and guide crew members in proper landscape maintenance techniques and equipment use.

•        Identify and address plant health issues, including pests, diseases, and irrigation problems.

•        Inspect job sites before and after work to ensure quality control.

•        Coordinate with management to schedule work, track progress, and report any site issues.

•        Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.

•        Handle company trucks, equipment, and tools safely, maintain cleanliness and care in usage, storage and transport.

•        Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

•        Communicate with clients or property managers as needed to discuss maintenance plans and address concerns.

Qualifications & Skills:

•        Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a landscape maintenance crew

•        Strong knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, irrigation, and pest control required.

•        Valid driver’s license required.

•        Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment.

•        Strong leadership and team management skills.

•        Good communication and problem-solving abilities.

•        Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a plus

•        Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

•        Certification in horticulture, landscaping, or pesticide application is a plus.

•        Ability to walk, stand and crouch for 8 hours each day.

•        Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
• May require travel between job sites.
• Physical labor, including digging, lifting, and working with irrigation components.
