Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cleaning Team Leader to oversee our cleaning service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in custodial services, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are performed to the highest standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, as well as the ability to manage and motivate a team of cleaners in both commercial and residential environments. If the lead position is not for you, we are also looking for a cleaning service agent at 15-20 hours per week, $17-18 per hour. All the skills needed are the same just not the responsibility of running a team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities for the team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Organizing the team logistically to service the needs of the cleaning calendar and being able to communicating those needs to the team.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaned areas to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide training and support to team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance among staff.
- A team lead needs understand how to clean with quality while maintaining efficiency.
- Address any customer concerns or feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction with cleaning services.
- A team lead needs to have a drivers license, auto insurance and a reliable vehicle that can transport 3-4 other cleaning agents.
Experience
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Strong understanding of custodial practices, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, particularly in hotel environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients effectively.
