We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team for an evening shift position at an office building in Portland. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term employment based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
- Sanitize and restock restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas
- Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the facility
- Maintain cleanliness in entryways, hallways, and office spaces
- Ensure floors and carpets are kept clean and presentable
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report any shortages
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a secure work environment
- Assist with additional cleaning duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Must be comfortable working an evening shift
