Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organized Seasonal Supervisor to oversee operations at the Upper Falls Snack Bar from May 1 to November 1, 2025. This role requires a hands-on leader to manage daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience during the operational season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Supervision
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Supervise and train employees to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Develop and implement procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Manage the shop’s social media presence, including Facebook posts and updates.
- Scheduling
- Collaborate with the shop manager to create staff schedules based on availability and operational needs.
- Plan schedules for the entire season when possible, providing staff with schedules at least 30 days in advance.
- Staff Development and Training
- Assist in recruiting and hiring seasonal staff to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Train and onboard new employees, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for their roles.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to enhance performance and support professional growth.
- Inventory Management
- Work with the procurement team to monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock of merchandise.
- Conduct daily stock checks and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and maximize profitability.
- Concession Food, Ice Cream, and Drink Management
- Order food, ice cream, and drinks weekly or as needed.
- Perform weekly inventory checks to verify receipt and accuracy of ordered products.
- Run sales reports and reconcile food, ice cream, and drink sales with inventory levels.
- New Opportunities and Store Development
- Partner with management to identify new business opportunities, such as adding products or services.
- Conduct market research to understand trends and customer preferences for store enhancements.
- Implement strategies to boost sales, improve customer satisfaction, and increase profitability.
- Employee Coverage
- Step in to work at the store if employees call out, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
Compensation:
- Hourly starting wage of $18 per hour, plus tips.
- Approximately 40 hours per week during the operational season (May 1 - November 1).
- Availability required for weekends, holidays, and special events.
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience in customer service, inventory management, or food service preferred.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
