POSITION DESCRIPTION :
Serves as the primary creator, optimizer, and distributor of digital content on the University Marketing and Communications team. Owns all marketing-related responsibilities relating to the university’s enrollment-related CRM initiatives and platforms, including a sophisticated and innovative presence across social channels.
The Associate Director for Digital Content :
- Significantly contributes to the flow and success of UMC work by optimizing distribution channels, integrating creative solutions into strategic outlets in an organized, proactive, systematized way.
- Serves as the lead digital content producer and web content editor.
- Serves as UMC’s primary point of contact for comprehensive digital marketing.
- Individually serves as a content creator, while building a critical bridge between the content team and digital distribution platforms.
- Meaningfully partners as a central collaborator with the content team and Associate Director of Online and Data Marketing to assure all university web content is curated, distribution, maintained, and expired on relevant platforms in a timely way.
- Owns content-related SEO (Search Engine Optimization) initiatives in support of targeted campaigns.
- Serves as the UMC point-person for all digital communication flow content and related CRM needs in partnership with broader Enrollment initiatives.
- Coordinates and contributes compelling content for various forms of university digital marketing initiatives.
- Stewards the university’s branded social media platforms.
- Develops a digital influencer network to fuel an outreach campaign and associated communication flow promoting university awareness and programs among targeted populations.
- Builds out and facilitates continual updates, revisions, and additions to key digital marketing resources, such as the ‘UMC toolbox’ and university rankings documentation and distribution database.
- Systematizes and coordinates all university rankings resources to ensure materials are appropriately leveraged across marketing & communications platforms. Architects and continuously updates a university rankings database, including associated distribution plans, in addition to facilitating ranking asset acquisition, communication with relevant vendors, and the updating of rankings-related content.
- Executes routine communication and marketing platform audits, reporting findings and recommendations to inform revisions and innovations.
- Approaches work with a balanced, content-minded and tech-minded eagerness, prioritizing innovation and automation where relevant. Stays abreast of trends and developments in technical aspects of digital marketing and content distribution.
