Billing Accountant

This position is assigned to one or more areas of the Finance department and works closely with numerous other areas within the Finance department such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning, Payroll, Purchasing, and Revenue Management. This position will also interact frequently with Management for the various business lines to which it is assigned and will take primary responsibility for assigned revenue streams and / or vendor or customer relationships.

Responsibilities :

• Liaising with customer service team in relation to new customer orders
• Create and upload data into LGC's accounting system (SAP)
• Manage all historical Billing data in company systems
• Analyze and validate billing, operational, & customer data for completeness and accuracy
• Performs system & process audits to ensure that all invoicing procedures are being performed and transmitted accurately
• Monitoring and recording of receipts
• Reconciling weekly and monthly customer account statements
• Following up with customers in relation to overdue balances
• Work closely with account management team to ensure accuracy and resolve customer billing issues
• Accurate and timely responses to requests from internal customers including accounting, sales, customer success, and senior management
• Participate in improving internal controls, policies, procedures, and process documentation
• Ad hoc projects as they arise
