Job Description

The Assistant  Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager with all activities of the restaurant in accordance with standardized policies in order to provide efficient, friendly services and profitable operations.

Leucadia Pizza is looking for a unique individual to assist the General Manager to manage the restaurant team! This person should be able to clearly communicate objectives, expectations, and goals to a team of high-performing contributors. This person must demonstrate the ability to nurture a culture of excellence and create a working environment that keeps guests and team members engaged and enthusiastic about our establishment while possessing an attention to detail a level above. This person must take ownership of the position and the establishment and understand the importance of using systems, processes, and checklists to execute at a high level. Current positions are available in our full-service restaurants and take-out /delivery locations. 

Compensation

$55,000 to $75,000  (salary @ 50 hours per week)

 or

$21 to $29 per hour working in the range of working 35 to 40 hours per week

Qualifications

• Restaurant management: 2 years (Required)
• Kitchen experience: 2 years (Preferred)
• Restaurant Front of House: 2 years (Preferred)
• Day Shift (Required)
• Night Shift (Required)
• English (Required)
• Spanish (Preferred)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Work authorization (Required)
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Let it be clear; this is not a position where we are sitting in the office as the work is happening. We are involved with every single thing going on in the restaurant at all times. The Assistant Manager must get to  know every employee, what positions they are trained for, how they work when they work, and how everything operates. Assistant Managers need to learn to hire and train the team concerning the proper way to greet and serve customers. This is not a suit-and-tie job. We are on our feet giving the best experience to our customers and hard-working staff. We are looking for a motivated individual who cares for the restaurant and is always looking to improve.

Job Details

* Must learn to be proficient in the following dimensions of restaurant functions: payroll, scheduling, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and preparation of reports

*Manages staff to provide appealing restaurant service

*Must have Kitchen experience, cooking and managing

*Must have Front of the House Experience

* Maintaining a professional atmosphere at all times

* Minimum 3 years of restaurant experience (less for qualified teachers from other industries)

* Previous Managerial experience

* Knowledge of computers

* Knowledge of POS Systems

* Responsible and Reliable

* Being well groomed at all times

* Must have initiative, leadership ability, and outgoing personality

* Being polite and pleasant

* Must train employees to work together as a team 

* Good communication skills in dealing with staff and restaurant patrons

* Must be able to handle the pressures and problems that are created in a restaurant

* Being able to multitask a wide range of activities within the restaurant at once

* must learn to be able to determine applicants' qualifications and experience to be suitable for their position

* Must possess a valid driver's license

* Must be eligible to work in the United States

Working Conditions

* Have the ability to perform all functions in the restaurant

*Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.

*Working with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment, operating phones, computers, and other office equipment.
