What You'll Be Doing as a Quality Assurance Technician 2 - Inspection : Depending on assignment, provide team members with inspection results and reports, reliable inspection equipment, processes, and systems to ensure parts and finished products are produced within engineering specifications and acceptance standards. Inspect parts to specifications and standards at any stage of product development and productionCreate a record of inspection resultsFollow written procedures and work instructionsMake decisions on issues that are not addressed by an existing procedure or work instructionRun program-based inspection equipment with existing programsModify programs used on program-based inspection equipmentPurchase new gauges and inspection equipment when neededRespond to operators who need help using inspection methods or confirming measurementsMaintain MRB inventory database and facilitate dispositionsMaintain gauges and inspection equipment used in manufacturingIssue gauges as needed to support inspection at any stage of productionAny other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisorSkills and Experience You'll Need as a Quality Assurance Technician 2 - Inspection :
High school diploma or GED requiredAssociates degree in a technical field or 2 years technical training and 2 years related experience in any of the following areas : machine shop, mechanical assembly, optical assembly, and / or optical systems and components required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Previous experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) including set-up experience preferred.Previous experience with Optical Measurement Systems (Ram, OGP, etc.) including set-up experience preferred.Good written and verbal communication skills requiredUser knowledge of Microsoft computer software products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) required.Previous experience and use of software applications (Minitab, QCCalc, WinSPC) for effective testing, analysis, and / or test report generation preferred.Training in the following disciplines :Gauge usage
