Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Position Summary

Safely participate in the day to day yard activities including maintaining accurate rack/bin movements.

Job Functions/Duties

· Review Order Tickets and confirm with the Customer Service department the availability of required outbound equipment

· Collect and load outbound shipments per the Order Ticket

· Unload, unpack and inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record and report shortages and discrepancies, and correspond with shipping & receiving documents to rectify damages and shortages for accuracy

· Verify serial numbers of inbound and outbound equipment, process the required documents and upload all documentation

· Move and record equipment location changes after completed operational activities; DIFA, Testing, etc.

· Communicate and coordinate the necessary inventory stock level replenishments

· Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as part of daily activities; and must be able to obtain forklift certification

· Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action

Qualifications/Education Requirements

· Basic computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or inventory databases

· Good oral and written communication and analytical skills

· Must have experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, and working in an environment, which requires flexibility, time management, and accuracy

· Highly motivated and able to work efficiently and safely

· High School diploma or equivalent required

· 1 years of inventory warehouse experience preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

· Continuously required to move about the facility which may include exposure to various outdoor elements and physical labor

· Rotating On-Call schedule and the ability to work weekends

· Use of appropriate personal protective equipment, including but not limited to, eye protection, hardhat and safety shoes in designated areas throughout the warehouse

· This is a safety sensitive position
