We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Weekend Laundry Person to join our hotel team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our linens and guest laundry. Responsibilities
- Clean and launder hotel linens, towels, and guest clothing using appropriate washing and drying techniques.
- Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and pressing machines.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for distribution throughout the hotel.
- Ensure that all laundry is processed efficiently and meets the hotel's quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area by following proper sanitation procedures.
- Assist with dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are handled with care.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a hotel setting, is preferred but not required.
- Ability to clean and launder items effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required by the hotel's operational needs.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy loads when necessary.
