The overall scope and purpose of this job is to perform warehousing tasks of receiving product, putting away product, picking product (filling orders), preparing product for shipment (packing and then shipping using Ship Station), general housekeeping, completing appropriate paperwork, operating equipment safely, and loading and unloading trucks and containers of product in accordance with Company policy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pull, pack, and process orders for shipment using ShipStation in an efficient manner, in accordance with Company standards and procedures, using pick tickets or verbal instructions from a supervisor.
  • Package material for shipment according to shipping requirements and/or customer specified instruction. Ensure that all product/shipping labels are legible.
  • Load delivery vehicles with product following all safety guidelines to minimize any possible damage of product during the transportation process to the customer.
  • Load outgoing trailers and trucks and unload incoming containers and pallets.
  • Inspect merchandise to include checking for shortages and rejecting damaged goods.
  • Communicate shortages, damages of merchandise through proper channels to ensure accurate billing.
  • Understand unit of measure.
  • Locate and identify products on the warehouse floor to ensure accurate order fill rates.
  • Follow the standard operating procedures, preferred methods, and Company and facility policies and procedures.
  • Use tape, sealing equipment, stretch and shrink film.
  • Handle stock in a careful and safe manner; conscious of quality and eliminating damage.
  • Practice and adhere to established safety rules and policies, as well as established housekeeping standards.
  • Safely operate assigned warehouse equipment in performing the functions of the job.
  • Anticipate and prevent accidents. Comply with all safety rules and regulations. Immediately report ALL incidents, accidents, and personal injuries to lead person or supervisor.
  • Keep warehouse, including inventory, clean, neat, orderly and free of debris.
  • Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a heated but un-air-conditioned warehouse. Employee may be exposed to cold, heat, damp, or humid conditions. Work around moving machinery, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, etc. Employee will be exposed to exhaust fumes and paper dust.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
