We are currently seeking a Field Service Manager / Inspector based in Orange County / San Diego County, CA, to lead and support our team of Field Service Technicians. This role requires a background in electrical controls, as well as mechanical skills, paired with excellent leadership and scheduling capabilities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our field team operates safely, efficiently, and with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
As the Field Service Manager / Inspector, you will oversee the scheduling, coordination, safety, and performance of our field technicians, ensuring top-tier service delivery and optimal use of resources. Using your background as a field service technician, you will also serve as a technical mentor, be responsible for our service base, and be an escalation point for complex issues in the field.
Technical Oversight & Safety
- Support technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical circuits, controls, radio systems, and other crane-related components.
- Conduct field inspections to verify work quality and compliance.
- Uphold safety standards, ensuring field staff adhere to OSHA regulations and company policies.
Field Team Management & Scheduling
- Manage, schedule, and dispatch field service technicians to customer sites, balancing workload, skill sets, and response times.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate urgent service calls, preventive maintenance, and installation projects.
- Ensure timely completion of service tasks and projects, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Track field productivity and performance metrics, providing coaching and support where needed.
Customer Interaction & Service Quality
- Build rapport and trust with customers by being responsive and ensuring technicians represent Level Crane Systems professionally and reliably.
- Review completed service work and ensure all documentation is accurate, thorough, and submitted on time.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate complex concerns appropriately.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of crane inspection/technician experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
