- Work location is a Data Center in New Albany, OH
- Job designation is Onsite. Potential OT
- Length of assignment is 4-6 months.
- Rotating 12 hour shifts 7am - 7pm. (including holidays and weekends).
Job Summary:
- Under limited supervision, perform skilled work involving the operation, maintenance, repair, alteration and additions to Data Center systems including but not limited to, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems, building furnishings and site improvements.
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on, troubleshoot, repair, install and operate various types of HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and general building mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment, electronic components, and general building control systems in accordance with industry standards and mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building codes. Ensure the root cause of facility problems are identified and repaired quickly.
- Must have excellent understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/ STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handing units and CRAC units.
- Operate, monitor, maintain and respond immediately to abnormal conditions in facilities systems
- Perform possible general building maintenance and repair such as drywall, masonry, painting, ceilings, roofing, tile, carpets, windows, and other related items.
- Conduct daily inspections of all data center infrastructure equipment. Provide systems availability monitoring and reporting. Maintain records, including inspection documentation, and submit reports as required.
- Ensure Computerized Maintenance Management System data accuracy.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Technician, or 2 years or related utility industry work experience; or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/ Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers' license.
- Must successfully pass background check which includes NERC/CIP
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to learn and comply with the rules, safety practices and procedures applicable to the work environment and report unsafe conditions and practices.
- Must learn and have a working knowledge of Safety and Environmental guidelines.
- Must be able to learn and properly use the tools and equipment applicable to work duties.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions and manuals.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and effective interactions with others.
