Currently, Level Engineering & Architecture is seeking a Finance Department Accountant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within the organization by working with the leadership to manage the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage daily operations of the financial department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Work with ownership and CPA team to ensure efficient operations
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate and oversee tax filings
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives
- Ensure accurate and effective financial communication with sister companies
- Work closely with Owners to effectively manage multiple entities
Process Improvement
- Work with the team to improve systems, processes, and procedures
- Track expenses and recommend modifications to increase operating efficiency
- Manage financial policies (updating, upgrading, document management)
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping, with at least 4 years being with whole organization responsibilities (companies over 5M preferred)
- Full Charge Bookkeeping Skills
- Experience working with multiple entities and accounts
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulation
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (expert level preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and GSuite4
- Digitally literate & comfortable learning new software, SAS and Apps
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
