About the Role
We are currently searching for a highly motivated Payroll Manager to join our team! This is a unique opportunity as the role does not follow traditional Payroll department norms in serving our staff internally. This is an opportunity to fulfill the Payroll needs of our entertainment industry clients. In this role, youll get to work cross functionally with all members of various teams to successfully process payroll tasks. To be successful in this role, you have exceptional organizational skills, incredible attention to detail, and you are a self-motivated individual. You must also possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships. The ideal candidate possesses several years of experience in a payroll position, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify critical information given limited situational context.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Seek approval, make updates, run client payrolls (bi-weekly, monthly, retainer, one-time)
- Submit quarterly payroll reports
- Complete payroll reconciliations
- Maintain state ID applications and documentation
- Complete workers compensation audit reports
- Submit new entity request and filing state dues
- Submit check deposits
- Data entry
- Complete misc. payroll department projects

This position is a full-time, overtime exempt position and requires candidates to be onsite at our Nashville office location from the hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm CST.

- 3 years in a payroll position
- Current knowledge of appropriate federal, state, local, tax laws as they pertain to payroll
- Knowledge of worker classifications and distinctions
- Experience with payroll software (ADP or Paychex preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Knowledge/Experience in the music industry preferred
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
