We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients and representing our company during each delivery.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of packages as required, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any potential issues.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to find the best routes for timely deliveries.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience in customer service roles, particularly in courier or moving services, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving is essential.
