As a foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring work is performed safely, in accordance with plans and specifications, and in compliance with local building codes and Cal-OSHA. You will also be responsible for reading plans, performing layout, partnering with subcontractors and crew, performing carpentry, opening and closing the site, representing the company if the Superintendent is not on site, partnering with the Superintendent on daily schedule, overseeing material deliveries, being solution-oriented with the crew and subcontractors and vendors, taking ownership of material use and minimizing waste, and maintaining job site security and safety.
- 6 years of residential carpentry experience; frame to finish
- Advanced construction math skills
- Knowledge of practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools used in residential and commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication, active listening, and team-building skills
- Ability to take and give direction
