Job Overview
Local metal fabrication company is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator for their location in Lake Mary, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications.
This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints.
Monday to Friday - 2nd shift (2:30pm to 11:00pm)
Duties
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and tooling requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet design specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment for fabrication processes.
- Operate cranes and forklifts as needed for material handling and movement within the facility.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and quality standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working with metal material.
- Knowledge using metal shaping techniques/formulas.
- Read and understand orthographic views is a MUST
- Able to use tape measurer.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various hand tools and machinery.
- Familiarity with stamping presses, sheet metal fabrication, and tooling processes is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform quality inspections and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Experience in reading blueprints and technical drawings is essential.
- Previous experience operating cranes or forklifts is a plus.
