Planner Purchasing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the purchasing process, ensuring that all materials and services are acquired at the best possible price and quality. This position requires strong negotiation skills, a solid understanding of procurement management, and the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships.

Duties

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
• Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Manage the entire procurement process from requisition through to delivery.
• Utilize Oracle EBS and other systems for tracking orders, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material needs based on production schedules.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to ensure competitive sourcing decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and supplier communications.
• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding procurement management.

Experience

• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management is essential.
• Familiarity with MRP systems and their application in supply chain management.
• Strong skills in contract negotiation and contract management.
• Experience with supplier management and building long-term relationships with vendors.
• Proficiency in using Oracle EBS or similar systems for procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance based on price, quality, and delivery metrics.

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
