Director of Youth Soccer Camp
Candidates must be at least 25 years old to be considered for Camp Director positions.
1. Program Development
- Design and oversee the camp’s structure, schedule, and curriculum.
- Create age-appropriate training sessions and activities.
- Align the camp philosophy with player development models
2. Staff Management
- supervise all coaches, counselors, and volunteers.
- Hold staff meetings before and during camp to ensure consistent messaging.
- Assign roles, duties, and schedules to staff.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all camp activities comply with local, state, and insurance regulations.
- Manage risk assessments, first aid protocols, and emergency action plans.
- Make sure all staff have background checks and necessary certifications (CPR, SafeSport, etc.).
4. Player Development Oversight
- Monitor player engagement and development during the camp.
- Provide direct coaching, mentorship, and feedback to campers.
- Adjust sessions based on player skill levels and needs.
5. Parent Communication
- Serve as the main point of contact for parents before, during, and after the camp.
- Handle inquiries, concerns, and updates (e.g., weather cancellations, behavioral issues).
- Send welcome packets, reminders, and end-of-camp evaluations.
6. Administration & Logistics
- Manage camp registration, waivers, and paperwork.
- Organize equipment, uniforms, training gear, and facility needs.
- Handle budgets, payments, and reporting (if operating under a company or club).
- Arrive early and set up camp, return equipment. Pick up snacks and pizza if applicable
8. Facility Management
- Secure and manage fields, restrooms, shelters, and other camp facilities.
- Set up and take down equipment daily.
9. Evaluation & Growth
- Collect feedback from players, parents, and staff at the end of camp.
- Analyze what went well and what needs improvement.
- Plan for future camp expansion or new offerings.
10. Represent the Camp Professionally
- Be the face of the camp: professional, approachable, enthusiastic
- Foster an environment that’s fun, educational, and inclusive for all players.
