We're looking for energetic and reliable coaches to help lead our fun, high-energy soccer camps for kids. With multiple locations throughout the Greater Rochester, NY area, this is a great opportunity to get on the field, build your coaching resume, and inspire the next generation of players.
Position Details:
- Seasonal (July–August 2025)
- Independent Contractor
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm
- Half Day and Full Day camp positions available
- Locations: Multiple camp sites in and around Rochester, NY
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation to and from camp sites
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate kids in a dynamic outdoor environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior coaching or playing experience
- Background in youth development or physical education
- Ability to create a fun, safe, and instructional atmosphere
Duties
- Lead Daily Camp Activities:
Run engaging, age-appropriate soccer drills, games, and scrimmages during camp hours.
- Create a Fun & Positive Environment:
Help foster a camp culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, learning, and enjoyment for all campers.
- Provide Individual Feedback & Encouragement:
Support each camper’s development with positive reinforcement and basic technical instruction.
- Ensure the Safety of All Campers:
Supervise campers at all times, follow safety protocols, and respond appropriately to any incidents or injuries.
- Pass Out Snacks, Lunch, and Camp T-Shirts:
Assist with distributing daily snacks and lunches (where provided), and hand out camp T-shirts at the start of the week.
- Pick Up Equipment or Lunch as Needed:
Help with the pickup or delivery of equipment and/or lunch when requested by the Camp Director.
- Set Up & Break Down Equipment:
Arrive on time to assist in preparing fields and equipment before camp starts, and help with cleanup at the end of each day.
- Communicate Effectively with Staff and Families:
Maintain clear and respectful communication with the Camp Director, fellow coaches, and camper families.
- Adapt to Different Age Groups and Skill Levels:
Modify activities and instruction based on the age and ability of the campers in your group.
- Represent the Camp Professionally:
Act as a positive role model, demonstrating punctuality, professionalism, and enthusiasm for coaching.
