Position Title: Field Logistics Manager
Reports To: Vice President of Operations
Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:
The Field Logistics Manager serves as the primary point of contact between field operations and the home office. This role is responsible for conducting site inspections, fostering relationships, ensuring compliance, and supporting project performance through effective resource planning. The individual will regularly visit project sites, particularly during key milestones or in response to priority issues, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Field Operations Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to assess project status, provide inspections, and ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide on-the-ground updates to the home office.
· Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and home office teams to ensure seamless project execution.
· Compliance & Safety: Oversee safety on site, including managing toolbox talks, field personnel certifications, and continuing education. Ensure compliance with corporate safety standards.
· Resource Planning: Assist in the planning and assignment of manpower, coordinating rotations and ensuring the effective utilization of resources across multiple projects.
· Project Performance: Monitor and report on project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work, ensuring successful project delivery and addressing any variances or issues that arise.
· Change Order Management: Manage the field-generated change order process, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
· Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination: Oversee subcontractor and vendor relationships, ensuring clear communication and successful project execution.
· Project Closeout & Punch List Management: Ensure timely project closeout by managing the punch list process, ensuring all tasks are completed to satisfaction before final project delivery.
· Budget vs. Actual Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of budget vs. actual performance for each project, adjusting resources and strategies as needed.
· Performance Metrics & Reporting: Track and report performance metrics relating to budgets, schedules, safety, and quality. Provide actionable insights to improve performance.
· Liaison Between Field & Office: Act as the primary liaison between field teams and the home office, ensuring communication is streamlined and issues are resolved efficiently.
· Flexibility in Supervision: Provide direct supervision and guidance to project teams when required, enabling routine superintendents to take scheduled and unscheduled time off.
· Supervision & Mentorship: Provide direct supervision to project teams as necessary, support field personnel recruitment, onboarding, and training, and manage team performance metrics.
· Technology Utilization: Leverage construction technology tools to bridge proficiency gaps within the team and streamline project management processes.

Required Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial construction, preferably in a general contractor role.
· Project Management: Proficiency in managing project budgets, schedules, scopes, and change orders. Experience with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
· Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction field operations means and methods.
· Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills with experience in managing relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
· Supervisory Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing field personnel and coordinating project teams.
· Safety Management: Knowledge of corporate safety standards and ability to manage safety training and compliance.
· Technology Proficiency: Experience with construction technology tools, the ability to stay productive while working remotely, and assisting in bridging proficiency gaps among team members.
