Currently searching for a contract Manufacturing Designer (CAD/BIM) to join a team in Columbus, Ohio. The Designer is responsible for optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest level of product quality.
Title: Manufacturing Designer (CAD/BIM)
- Location: Columbus, Ohio
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (In-Office)

Key Responsibilities:
- Translate architectural drawings into constructible designs, adhering to building codes and company standards.
- Maintain and organize design documents, layouts, and revisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure manufacturability and production alignment.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and optimize workflows.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in architecture, engineering, CAD design, or manufacturing (minimum).
- 2 years of experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and strategies.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and manufacturing software tools (preferred).
- Familiarity with machine controls and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) (preferred).
- Strong communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency preferred but not required).
