Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in product records, and optimizing inventory processes. This position requires a strong understanding of METRC, logistics, and category management to effectively support our business objectives. This position requires you to travel to store locations in Michigan.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:
  • Accurately track and manage cannabis inventory using METRC and Dutchie systems.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with digital records to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and company policies in relation to inventory handling and reporting.
  • System Maintenance and Reporting:
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory data in METRC and Dutchie, ensuring all products are properly logged, tracked, and classified.
  • Use Excel sheets to prepare and analyze inventory reports for management.
  • Generate inventory reports as needed for auditing, sales analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  • Receiving and Dispatching Inventory:
  • Oversee the receiving process, ensuring that products are accurately logged into inventory and tagged with the correct METRC identifiers.
  • Collaboration with Teams:
  • Work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to manage inventory levels and resolve discrepancies.
  • Use Microsoft Teams for daily communication with cross-functional teams to address inventory needs, issues, and updates.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
  • Ensure all inventory is handled according to state and local cannabis regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Stay informed on cannabis regulatory changes and be proactive in ensuring compliance.
  • System Learning and Improvement:
  • Stay open to learning new software systems and improving inventory management processes.
  • Participate in training programs to become proficient in other company-specific software platforms related to inventory tracking.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
  • Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies or system issues promptly.
  • Work with the IT or support teams to troubleshoot issues with METRC, Dutchie, and other software tools as needed.
  • Data Entry and Accuracy:
  • Ensure accurate data entry in both digital and physical formats, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
  • Perform regular data clean-up to maintain high-quality inventory records.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inventory control in the Cannabis industry.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and logistics operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
