What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director (Licensed Mental Health Professional) position at LEVELS MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, LLC?
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Director to oversee our clinical programs and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oversight/supervision for case management, assessments, individual service plans (ISPs), discharge planning, clinical supervision, and the coordination and implementation of clinical services and clinical case management offered to clients. In addition, a thorough understanding of DMAS and DBHDS policies and procedures is required and paramount to this role.
Duties:
- Prepares written diagnostic assessments which are derived from face-to-face meetings with potential and existing clients. These assessments will include evaluating clients from multiple perspectives, including, psychological/emotional, social, academic, medical, behavioral, substance abuse, skills, strengths, barriers to economic self-sufficiency, treatment history, and others, and utilizing various assessment instruments.
- Generate a Kepro for each assessment completed.
- Assist mental health workers in creating an initial ISP and adhering to timeliness requirements. This will also include being the signing official on the initial ISP and ensuring the ISP are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide supervision to (QMHPs and QPPs) providing case management services.
- The position is responsible for conducting monthly with QMHPs and QPPs to provide clinical guidance, assess dynamics and needs of each case, determine the appropriateness of strategies, and assess progress of service delivery and planning.
- Reviewing and auditing QMHP or QPP daily progress notes and quarterly reports, checking for client progress, competence, and substantive documentation of services provided.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and provide clinical guidance to QMHP or QPP and staff of LEVELS.
- Perform clinical file reviews to ensure client files comply with LEVELS, DMAS, DBHDS and state code policies and procedures.
- Reviewing and documenting clinical files and making recommendations for changing as appropriate. Notify Executive Director of findings in a timely manner.
- Provide consulting and additional referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Manage a small caseload of clients whenever needed.
- Stay abreast of DMAS, DBHDS, and State policies and procedures. Keep current with knowledge, availability, quality of community resources and professional trends.
- Assist the Executive Director with design and development of the clinical aspects of program services and appraising staff performance.
- Collaborates and coordinates with other services providers and professionals, such as attorneys, social workers, and probation/parole officers.
- Maintain licenses and/or certifications.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed substance abuse treatment practitioner, licensed marriage and family therapist, or certified psychiatric clinical nurse specialist/practitioner or completed a graduate degree and is under the direct personal supervision of a person licensed under Virginia law, who is working towards licensure, and who is in compliance with the appropriate Virginia licensing board may perform the functions of the LMHP for purposes and have Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field to include social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, criminal justice and human services counseling.
This position also requires a valid driver’s license, automobile and telecommunications availability. The successful completion of a criminal history or background investigation is required.
