Ophthalmic Technician
Job Details
Educate patients on our services, surgical procedures, and treatments.
Create relationships with patients to develop trust and answer general questions.
Offer pre- and post-surgical education to patients.
Ophthalmic history attainment, testing; operating various ophthalmology diagnostic equipment.
Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Professional presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and problem-solve.
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to be cross-trained and fill in for other team members.
Passion for delivering exceptional customer and patient service.
Qualifications and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ophthalmic, Optometric, or Medical Assisting: 2 years (Preferred)
Must have reliable transportation and is willing to travel to all locations as needed.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, professional environment.
Has knowledge of visual testing equipment such as OCT, Topography, Visual fields, Fundus photos, IOL master, etc.
Compensation: (Hourly wage to be discussed based upon the level of experience and certifications)
$19.00- $25.00 an hour
Office Hours: 7 am - 5 pm closed on nights and weekends
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours
Ability to Commute or Relocate
LEA currently provides services throughout Jacksonville, FL. The primary office is currently located in the 32204 zip code. This is an in-office position and relocation assistance is not provided.
