Student Support Teacher

LEVERETT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Is accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year: SPECIAL EDUCATION/ STUDENT SUPPORT TEACHER (Full Time) DESE Special Education certification or ability to obtain certification soon required Experience working with elementary grades; PreK-Grades 2 preferred Experience working with children with Autism and/or Down Syndrome preferred Must have understanding of culturally sustaining pedagogy, Universal Design for Learning, specially designed instruction and supporting diverse needs, all aspects of IEP development and implementation, instructional and assistive technology Strong organizational skills, time management, ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team and relevant stakeholders Start date: August 2025 About Our School LES is a small school with an enrollment of approximately 140 students with one class per grade, ranging from PreK to grade 6. Our core academics is supplemented by specialized programs for tiered support and enhanced by our Greenhouse program, outdoor learning opportunities, and integration of other activities and resources from the community. You will be joining a team of professionals made up of two other Student Support Teachers who work with the middle and upper grades, classroom teachers, a full time school psychologist and SLP and part time OT, PT, and School Adjustment Counselor.
