LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Security Engineer for a contract-to-hire (with option for fully remote work) opportunity with our financial client in the west suburbs of Chicago, IL!

The Security Engineer will :
Implement and maintain secure password policies and strategies.
Manage password storage, reset processes, and user access controls.
Ensure timely deployment of patches and updates for Windows servers.
Monitor, test, and troubleshoot patches in alignment with industry best practices.
Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analysis for Windows systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
Administer and manage security features within Azure and Intune environments.
Ensure secure configuration and compliance of Azure AD resources.
Configure, deploy, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to support security policies across the organization’s Active Directory environment.
Develop and optimize PowerShell scripts for automating tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
2 years of experience in IT security engineering
Strong experience with Windows Server and virtualized (e.g., VMWare) management and maintenance.
Strong experience with password, patch, and vulnerability management processes. Including hands-on experience with enterprise vulnerability management tools.
Experience with Active Directory, including Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Basic to intermediate capability in PowerShell scripting.
Experience with Azure preferred, with Intune experience a plus.
Keen interest in staying updated on security trends and best practices.
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)
Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
