Job Summary
Leviat is seeking a Laser Operator to maintain and operate our laser cutting tables. Candidates must have a strong understanding of the machines they work with, and in-depth training may be required to prepare for daily duties. Operators may work with mechanical or computer-operated equipment. They must be technically inclined and able to properly utilize tools and machinery. Candidates for this position should be detail-oriented and willing to learn. This position will work closely with all levels of management and employees to ensure safety and promote our safety culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment, inspect, and prepare parts for shipment per SOP/VOP.
- Notify supervisor of non-conforming products or problems with machine, materials, etc.
- Communicate production issues with the next shift operator.
- Follow specific processes and procedures as outlined in SOP/VOP.
- Assist other operators in setting up machines and other necessary tasks to meet deadlines and complete product.
- Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED, preferred
At least 1 year of manufacturing experience
At least 1 year of laser operator experience
Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage, awareness, and quality system awareness
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
