BASIC FUNCTION
Responsible for day-to-day data entry and accounting recordkeeping including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other related records to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
· Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
· Maintains the general ledger.
· Serve as a backup payroll processer.
· Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
· Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
· Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
· Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
· Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.

- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Five years general accounting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education (BA) and experience.
- LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.
- MATH ABILITY: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software QuickBooks, and ADP cloud platforms.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
