Position Summary
This position is open to an undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate, preferably with a background in string music education and an interest in working with students ages 10-18. It is a paid position that could be classified as an internship. Please contact us and your school personnel regarding the requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
The Assistant to the Strings Camp Director is an administrative assistant position that supports the Director at Levine Strings Camp and the campers. The Assistant must be available August 4, 2025 – August 8, 2025, onsite at our DC Campus: NW from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. This position also involves preparation at the DC Campus: NW the week before the camp; these hours are flexible. It requires participation in faculty and teen apprentice orientations. Responsibilities include:
Stipend: $1,000.00

The Assistant to the Strings Camp Director is an administrative assistant position that supports the Director at Levine Strings Camp and the campers. The Assistant must be available August 4, 2025 – August 8, 2025, onsite at our DC Campus: NW from 8:30 AM-4:30 PM. This position also involves preparation at the DC Campus: NW the week before the camp; these hours are flexible. It requires participation in faculty and teen apprentice orientations. Responsibilities include:
- Support the Director in preparing the camp hours the week before camp and 4 hours of training and preparation in the summer. (Date and time are flexible.)
- Support the Director and faculty and help coordinate the work of teen apprentices in daily camp operations.
- Organize social activities for the campers during their lunch and snack breaks.
- Organize, print, and copy camp materials, including schedules, rosters, lists, and signage.
- Assist the Site Director and teen apprentices at early drop-off and pick-up at the end of the day.
- Supervise campers when necessary.
- Provide extra help to individual campers in preparing for the Friday performance.
Stipend: $1,000.00
