What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Specialist position at Levitate?
Levitate is a growing virtual reality meditation company focused on creating immersive experiences to help people on their mindfulness journey. We’re seeking a creative and motivated Video Specialist to join our team. If you have a passion for visual storytelling, a sharp eye for detail, and are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, innovative environment, this role is for you. This is a three month contract with the possibility to extend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoot and edit video content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Manage and organize video, photo, and audio assets for the content production team
- Assist in basic color grading, audio mixing, and graphics
- Collaborate with the content team to ensure consistency with our brand’s minimal, natural, and cinematic style
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in social media and video production techniques
- Assist with archiving and organizing completed projects
- Occasionally assist with on-site production in New York City
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and other video editing tools
- Knowledge of basic photo and graphic editing
- Knowledge of Sony camera systems
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A passion for mindfulness, wellness, and the VR space
- Experience with social media content creation
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
