About the role
This position is responsible for supporting production by performing the duties involved in receiving, stocking, issuing materials and supplies, ticketing and transporting finished goods.
Responsibilities
- Supports a safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures
- Supports a quality work environment by following quality policies and procedures (These are the first required bullet)
- Performs and documents weigh counts for scrap materials, communicates issues or concerns with Production Lead
- Removes trash from manufacturing areas
- Assists in manufacturing processes and changeovers as requested
- Operates material movement equipment, as needed in a safe and efficient manner to prevent injury to self, others and other equipment
- Maintains a clean work area, consolidates containers of like parts and moves empty containers to designated storage areas
- Enters production on finished goods items
- Verifies and maintains product identification and count
- Moves properly marked material to non-conforming hold area as instructed by supervision and performs necessary transactions
- Supports departmental goals and objectives for safety, quality, production and equipment maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned
