Material Handler- Wall Plates

This position is responsible for the complete operation of an integrated packaging line including, packaging product into containers and performing minor machine adjustments, repairs and changeovers while ensuring that quality and production standards are achieved.

• Ensures that the product that is being packaged meets quality requirements
• Performs wall plate packaging in-process inspection once every hour and logs audit results
• Notifies Work Cell Leader and Quality Assurance employees if any component is questionable
• Performs changeovers on machine(s)
• Replaces product components such as film, barcode ribbonand screws as needed
• Performs minor machine adjustments and repairs
• Additional Responsibilities:
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, required
• Must have the ability to make minor machine adjustments
• Must have strong near vision
• Must have the ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive motions
• This position requires 100% of work time to be spent on the production floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection devices may be required
• Eye protection devices are required outside the office environment
• This position also requires lifting of up to 25 lbs
• The physical demands of the position include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and eye/hand/foot coordination

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, required
