About the role
This positions is responsible for operating automated industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Loads materials and products into package processing equipment; weighs materials to ensure compliance with specifications
- Measures product or component dimensions
- Marks and labels containers, container tags, or products using marking tools
- Records product on specified forms and records
- Obtains, moves, and sorts products, materials, and containers
- Seals packaging using hand tools
- Clean facilities or work areas using basic cleaning materials
- Places or pours products or materials into containers or fills containers from spouts or chutes
- Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Inspects equipment, products, materials, or packaging to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Clears equipment jams
- Records operational or production data
- Provides information to superiors, co-workers in written or oral form Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required Manufacturing or related mechanical experience, required
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to or grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects, required
- Ability to focus on a single source of sound in the presence of other distracting sounds, required
- Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among sets of letters, numbers, objects, pictures, or patterns
- The things to be compared may be presented at the same time or one after the other
- This ability also includes comparing a presented object with a remembered object, required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, required
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written English

- This position may require minimal travel
