Overview :
This position is a cross functional environment that performs transportation and logistics functions as Freight Bill Audit Payment. Some of the duties include evaluating and processing carrier invoices, using various systems and data files. This position will be responsible for researching and problem solving of shipping / delivery inquiries.
Responsibilities :
- Handle on hand shipments, returns, reconsignments, refusals, address corrections and invalid account numbers with Carriers and / or Customer Service.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Warehouses and Plants, Accounts Receivable, and External Auditors researching shipping / delivery inquiries.
- Work with small parcel carriers (UPS and Fed-Ex) creating call-tags, return shipments and researching tracking information
- Obtain supporting documents as needed to verify :
Delivery information (Proof of Delivery)
Obtain proper approvals for accessorial charges
