About The Role
This position is responsible for coordinating resources for the manufacture of scheduled production within established requirements for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Ensures assigned area is operating to set standards established by management
- Supports training requirements as directed
- Monitors material consumption and replacement as required
- Ensures changeover materials are ready before line is changed over
- Ensures proper identification of all materials
- Ensures all production and inventory transactions are reported
- Supports established bill of material and WIP inventory accuracy
- Plans, and assigns work for the production area(s)
- Updates production boards with changeover information
- Ensures that all equipment is running to established production standards
- Reports equipment malfunctions to technical staff
- Communicates with next shift, supervisors, managers, and any other related departments of changes, concerns, priorities, or problems
- Monitors work areas to ensure employees remain compliant with assigned break times
- Provides input to supervisors for documentation of counseling, recognition, or information in the Employee Note File
- Provides a communication interface between leadership and employees
- Assists production lines as needed to ensure order completion
- Assists with root cause analyses and 8D where applicable
- Supports department supervisor and manager as required
- Supports a positive team environment and good communications
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to work independently in absence of direct supervision, exercising judgment, and initiative
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling, and feeling
- Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
- Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a lead role
- Up to 10% may be required
